Taco Bell is going vegetarian!

The famous fast-food chain company celebrated its 60th anniversary by incorporating vegetarian-friendly options for Taco Bell lovers everywhere. Taco Bell, which Glen Bell founded, opened its doors in 1962 in Downey, California when burger retailers like McDonald’s were dominating the fast-food industry.

According to Pop Culture, the “Anniversary-Inspired Meal” will include “fan-favorites like that Black Bean Crunchwrap Supreme, Bean Burrito, Spicy Potato Soft Taco, and Cinnamon Twists. It is also served with a large unsweetened iced tea and two Diablo Sauces.”

The meal will also provide a combo for $8.99 offered only on the company’s app and website. In a statement released by Taco Bell’s Chief Executive Officer, Mark King explained how proud he is of the company’s accomplishment “over the last 60 years.”

He said, “I could not be more proud of what this brand has accomplished in our home of Southern California and beyond over the last 60 years. Taco Bell is a brand that not only feeds people but enacts change and drives creativity in our team members and our fans.”

King wrapped up the statement by saying the anniversary package, which consisted of limited value meals and merchandise exclusively for Taco Bell workers, was a form of appreciation to everyone.

“This anniversary is a thank you to everyone, especially our fans and the incredible people I work beside, both at corporate and in our restaurants.”

The vegetarian menu item debuted in stores on March 21 and will end in May.
